Minimum price contracts
A minimum price contract sets a floor and keeps some upside, for a fee built into the price.
Your elevator sets a floor price, usually by buying a call option behind the scenes. If futures rise, you get some of the gain; if they fall, you keep the floor.
The cost of the option comes out of your price, so the floor is below today's cash price. Compare that cost with what you'd give up on a straight forward contract.
