Staying safe from fake messages
How to tell a real Daily Commodity Wire message from a scam.
What we will never do
- Ask for a password, login code, card number, bank account or Social Security number by email, text or phone.
- Tell you to buy, sell or hedge anything, or ask you to invest money with anyone.
- Ask you to pay with gift cards, crypto, wire transfers, Zelle, Venmo or Cash App.
- Call you to "fix" your account or ask you to install anything.
- Send you to a website that isn't dailycommoditywire.com.
How our real messages look
- Email comes from reports@dailycommoditywire.com, and its links go to dailycommoditywire.com.
- Texts come from 608-602-8198, start with "Daily Commodity Wire" and end with how to stop them (reply STOP).
- Payments (when paid plans open) only happen on dailycommoditywire.com, through our card processor. We never take payment by text or phone.
- Your settings link is private to you. Don't forward a report email to people you don't trust, since its links open your settings.
If something looks off
- Don't click links or reply. Go to dailycommoditywire.com by typing it yourself.
- Forward the message to reports@dailycommoditywire.com or tell us on the feedback page.
- Spam texts can also be forwarded to 7726 (SPAM), which reports them to your phone carrier. Scams can be reported to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
How we protect your information
- The site only runs over a secure (https) connection.
- Our forms block spam bots, throwaway email addresses and repeated signups, so your address can't be signed up by a stranger over and over.
- We never sell or share your email or phone number. See the privacy policy.
- STOP, "unsubscribe", "remove me" and similar replies always work, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
