Terms of Service
Last updated October 9, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Daily Commodity Wire website, email reports and text alerts (together, "the service"). By signing up or using the service, you agree to them.
Daily Commodity Wire is operated by Andy Atten, a sole proprietor doing business as Daily Commodity Wire.
1. What the service is
Daily Commodity Wire sends market information: futures prices, price changes, and news headlines about what moved them. It is a news and information service only.
2. Not advice
Nothing in the service is investment, trading, hedging, marketing, tax or financial advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any commodity, futures contract or other investment. Decisions about selling grain or livestock, hedging, or trading are yours alone. Talk to a licensed broker or advisor before acting on market information.
3. Prices and news may be delayed or wrong
Prices come from third-party data sources and are usually delayed. "Why it moved" lines are drawn from published news headlines and may be summarized automatically. We work to keep everything accurate, but prices, changes, dates and explanations can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a report can fail to send. Always confirm prices with your elevator, broker or exchange before you act.
4. Your account
Give us a real name and an email address you control. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We may stop sending to any address that bounces, marks reports as spam, or misuses the service.
5. Paid plans
The email report is free. Text Alerts is a planned paid plan and is not on sale yet. Joining the early list does not charge you or commit you to anything. When paid plans launch, the price, billing period and cancellation terms will be shown to you before you pay, and you can cancel any time to stop future charges.
6. SMS Terms
Program name: Daily Commodity Wire market text alerts. If you sign up for text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated market texts from Daily Commodity Wire at the number you provide: prices around 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM CT on weekdays, plus any price, big-move or USDA report alerts you choose. Message frequency varies, usually two per weekday plus any alerts you turn on. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy for how your number is handled.
7. Our content
You're welcome to read, forward and talk about your reports. Please don't resell them, republish them in bulk, or scrape the site.
8. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Daily Commodity Wire and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage, including trading or marketing losses, lost profits, or missed opportunities, that comes from using or relying on the service, or from a report that is late, wrong or not sent. If we are ever found liable, the most we owe is what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.
10. Changes
We may update these terms or change or stop the service. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for paid subscribers, tell you by email before it takes effect.
