USDA reports that move prices
WASDE, Crop Progress, export sales and quarterly stocks can move markets in minutes; know the dates.
The monthly WASDE updates supply and demand. Crop Progress (Mondays, spring to fall) tracks condition. Weekly export sales show demand. Quarterly Grain Stocks and the March and June acreage reports can move prices sharply.
Prices can swing on report days, so many marketers avoid having open decisions right at release time, or set orders in advance.
Our calendar lists every report; our WASDE and export pages explain the numbers in plain words.
